Is it a good idea to introduce targets and stereotypes of English humor to language learners in the classroom?

i want to help my students to recognize and understand English humor. on the one hand, because some jokes such as ethnic ones may seem offensive to targets, i don't know whether to talk about them in my class. on the other hand, they exist and some are frequently used by people, how can i ignore them?
