Briand et al.,1996 introduced a property based software engineering measurement framework. They introduced formal properties of measurements with respect to size, length, etc. These formal properties include non-negativity, null value, monotonicity, disjoint additivity, and several others. The use of these properties is common with ratio or interval scales. I am wondering if some of these properties are applicable to the Likert scale type of data.
