There have been existing works like Singh and Singh(2015) and subsequently one in 2017 that performed Image encryption using ECC. But I have been seeing ppl comment that encryption with ECC is not a good combination.

The problem with existing encryption methods are either some of them are easy to decrypt or they required a high encryption key which in turn need long time to process or decrease the other trade of.
So, Please try to crest a new light and smart encryption method.

As Mustafa Sabah Taha says, there is a need for good encryption methods. In my opinion, it is a bit backwards to start with looking into ECC specifically, perhaps you can start by reviewing the requirements on image encryption, see what approaches there are and their shortcomings and see where you end up.
Genrerally, " ppl comment that X" seems to be a bad reason to dismiss a research area

I do agree with you, the L.R is very important to any researchers who want to start with his / her topic. However, my fist comment has written based on the literature.

Sorry if I expressed myself in an unclear way....I fully agree with you, the LR part was a suggestion to Priyansi Parida on my thought for the proces of embarking on a new agenda.
