In my case our synthesized bare Pt catalyst shows lower If/Ib value than commercial Pt/C. But chronoamperometric (CA) test and 100th cycle experiment indicates the higher stability and durability of our catalyst than commercial Pt/C. Here MOR has been done in basic condition.
Hi Soumen, I am not sure what you want to ask. forward and back scan, in methanol electrolyte or CO electrode poisoned?
Sometimes, lower intensities on methanol does not mean bad stability. Actually, Pt agglomeration provide stability and durability but poor methanol electrooxidation (both, CV and CA) than good dispersed ones. It is related with Ostwald ripening, and other causes. Actually I got in my lybrary a very nice article which shows whats happend after several cicling... in acidid conditions.
For methanol CV, depends what potentials are you cicling, the forward and back scans obey to different phenomena.
Could you explain a bit better what you expect? or this information is useful.

The ratio between forward and backward peak current is one of the important index of the catalytic enhancement. This ratio has been often used to describe the catalyst tolerance of the anodes against the incompletely oxidized species which are accumulated on their surfaces. A large ratio means good tolerance of the anode against the poisoning species, i.e., more effective removal of the poisoning species on the electrode surface during the forward potential scan.You can go through some references-
