Is fluid processing what we understand it to be?

I like the term "fluid processing" used in this article as it contrasts with fluid intelligence but also includes other functions that require cognitive control but not cognitive monitoring. Apparently, Park et al. (2010) are the first to use this term. Is this correct and is my definition of fluid processing correct?
