I have a dataset that is made up of categorical and continuous variables. In detail, there are 64 categorical variables (one-hot-encoded) and 12 continuous variables. The papers that I have read so far seem to use echo state network (http://www.scholarpedia.org/article/Echo_state_network) for time series data which are continuous.

Question: Can echo state network be used for a dataset which is a mixture of categorical and continuous variables?
