If a poor school uses outdated texts, the concerned teacher can just substitute 'diaspora' wherever she sees 'ghetto', 'barrio', 'slum', or 'inner city neighborhood', using the proper descriptive minority for an adjective; e.g., 'Korean diaspora', 'Asian Indian diaspora', 'Dominican diaspora', 'Haitian diaspora'.
