I am a PhD student at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and I am conducting a research on cloud computing adoption and its impacts on supply chain performance in Malaysia.
I realized that the cloud computing experience in Malaysia is still under initial assessment, and many steps need to be taken in order to compete in the global market. However, some motivations in some sectors such as manufacturing/high-tech industrial, healthcare and retail, and SMEs could be observed . Hence, I am specifically interested in answering the following questions and I would like to have your opinions regarding these concerns:
1. Is currently cloud services deployment in Supply Chains common among Malaysian enterprises?
2. Is Malaysia appropriate enough to carry out such a study and is data available to explore the impacts of cloud computing adoption in supply chains?
3. What are the main impediments/concerns of companies in adopting cloud computing in Malaysia?
4. What different benefits can be delivered by cloud computing which is crucial for solving current Malaysian organization’s problems?
