Do you know papers, where calbindin transport was studied? Or is it known that it is not transported but translated near the final position, e.g. distal dendrites of CA1 neurons?
Thank you for the answer. I agree, I was looking for some details of its transport (e.g. types of cargo vesicles, transport speed possible Ca2+ regulation of this process..).
Probably calbindin like other diffusion mobile calcium -bindng proteins can be transported and also be locally transleted in different dendrite compartments due to m-RNA trafficing from cell body ( Schmidt et al., 2003; Steward, 2007; Holt, Schuman, 2013 and many others)
