History is filled with such stories where the initial failures proved the stepping stones for achieving great things. For instance, Thomas Edison, one of the greatest inventor of all times, whose most memorable invention was the light bulb, which supposedly took him 1,000 tries before he developed a successful prototype.

How much this is relevant in research? Do you have some experience to share with us?
