I am interested in conducting applied research in psychology—specifically through case studies and using existing theories—without pursuing a PhD. Is there a recognized research style or pathway in India that supports independent, applied research in psychology, especially in the context of the unconscious mind and inner conflict?
If so, how can I get started, find a mentor, and establish myself as an independent researcher in this area? Any advice, resources, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

You used the word "independent". I doubt you'll be able to get away with being an independent researcher, as that is usually understood. For useful mentorship you'd need to enroll in a degree or certification program of some sort. I guess you'll need to query a lot of institutions to find a fit for what you have in mind.
