I am working in the Department of Fruit and Vegetable Product Technology. We have experience with modern techniques of fruit and vegetables preservation: high pressure processing, continuous microwave heating, supercritical carbon dioxide as well as access to these equipment. We are also interesting in pulsed electric fields and high pressure homogenization techniques. If you intends to take to coordinate the grant in Horizon 2020 program as well as you are looking for teams or people to work together we are open to all suggestions. We have a well-equipped technological laboratory with laboratory and pilot plant equipment as well as an accredited physicochemical and microbiological laboratory.
My department is also open to cooperation in this project. We have extensive experience in the study of the effects of food on biochemical parameters and oxidative stress in animal models. Also, we are interested in the problem of thyroid function disorders, diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome.
My research unit is also open to cooperation in this project. I think we have matching competencies as we are involved in the study of the quality of the agri-food products through the expression of biochemical, technological and sensory indexes. Our facilities include chromatographic instruments (HPLC, GC), spectrophotometers, an EPR spectrometer, sensoristic methods (e-nose) and a sensory lab. In my opinion it would be interesting for us to study some quality aspects of your processed products.
