I will work on mosquito borne disease (Malaria) as Phd project, but not in UK , and you are welcome if you want to support me, also others are very welcome , and every one can be involved in our research related papers.
I am not at all involved in Mosqiuto reseach and I don't have the slightest idea as to how it is done and for what purpose. But I will follow the discussion as it seems very interesting.
We are investigating co-occurrence of malaria vector mosquitoes and leishmaniasis vector sand flies in highland habitats (mountain caves) in Western Kenya but not in the UK. We are interested to know the factors that make the two important vectors to be trapped in the same habitat; do they breed in the same site or do they just rest in the same sites waiting for similar vertebrate host(s) for a blood meal? These are some of our research questions.
