The recorder is not regarded as a 'proper instrument' in many circles, yet because of it's accessibility (inexpensive, relatively easy to learn, and store, flexible) it continues to be taught, particularly in primary education.
While there are many methods available, I'd like to find any research evaluating or predicting the effect/ benefit of recorder playing for children (primary and secondary education).
Also, possibly, for adults adopting the instrument at a later age (never having played during childhood).

Music with instruments, dancing and song makes every day go smoother. OsloMet University in Oslo has an excellent researcher, Associate Professor Lise Lotte Aagedal, who has done a lot of research about music and language development. A lot of her research is connected to using easy songs and easy accessible instruments. The recorder is one such instrument as far as I can remember. I know she talks English well and is positive to contact. As far as I can see she is not yet on RG,but can be found by contacting OsloMet. You can say "hi" from me. I want to use musical recorder in diagnosis in Humans . The principal behind this is transmission differences in different types of tissue by transmitting standard sound waves and analysing by computers
