Is anyone familiar with Pt tube sealing?

I am in need of purge a sample in a Pt tube in Ar atmosphere. I have a Pt tube (50 mm in length and 6 mm in dia.) with two ends open. Can anyone suggest me the technique to seal Pt tubes? As an example what type of welding/soldering can be used? Then how can I purge it with Ar gas? If anybody aware of this type of work, please give me some suggestions. I really need to talk to some one has experienced this before.

By the way do you recommend TIG or MIG type of welding as an alternative for laser welding. If so do you recommend to use separate soldering wire like palladium ..??
