This organization is actually fake and internet scam in a sense that there is no real peer related conference or seminar in this gatherings. There are several companies like the Pulses use the internet network luring academics to tourists spots all over the works. Their invitations use the words like keynote speaker, organizer, session chair all kinds of sparkling words of profession to collect registration fees and lodging. If you like to travel and vacation with this kind of fake events, that is fine. But if you like to have real contribution of your expertise to the profession, it is not the place you want spend money out of your pocket or out of your employers research fund. These fake conference companies do not even exist except there is a virtual address in some big cities. Their contact email address is also fake and no one responds to email sent. There are many victims already I have heard. If the locally hired coordinator cannot get enough participants, they cancel the events and money deposited by interested participants never gets refunded. You cannot even hear from them at all because the locally hired coordinator disappeared already. No member of the management is found anywhere by contacting. It is an absolute scam.

I have always been doubting this publishing group also. So, Thank you Dr. Pyne for the link. I think i have cleared my doubt today.

I have been receiving many invitations from their journals to review articles but i keep on ignoring them simply because i feel that the process is not that clear to me. anytime I download the paper to review I see the authors contacts and affiliations and sometimes they are people i know very well. So i feel i will be biased on the process and I abandon. And the mails are automatic mails, there is no chance to communicate with the editor i.e no space reserved to write to the editor. So, I don't know if they mean that the reviewer is free to communicate his comments directly to the authors. The review platform is not also well adapted to allow the reviewer make tangible critics.

They've invited me to present at their conference, and I have talked to real people, but when I asked to talk to them about a concern I had about presenting at their conference, they've ignored my queries. I decided to pull out of their conference, and just work on presenting at the NORD conference in October. I do worry about about the abstract I submitted to them, being stolen. I have a couple of Dr's who are friends and own their own research lab(Dynatek) they've offered to take me to their patent attorney. That is where I am heading next week. I have recently published important articles (please see files; Wide range of biotin and JMBT Alopecia). In these reports, we have clearly declared that the enzyme kinetics has been determined mainly by the glyco-chain of the eucaryotic enzyme (human serum biotinidase). Genetic changes in these biotin-deficient patients with heat-labile serum biotinidase seem to be not working onto the enzyme kinetics.

However, I have felt that publishing fee is extremely high.

By the way, I do not like this JBC paper in which I have been coerced to be one of co-authors, since Ligand binding kinetics should also be obeyed to the glyco-chain structure according to the above file (please see file; Nagata PBAN). Therefore, I have not included this JBC paper in my list of publication and Contributions in this RG yet.

That is a general complaint I hear in regards to them. Any company with an FTC injunction is worthy of me staying away from. Thank you for your response. Just beware of fraudulent and predatory journals. Although fees is equal to an international journal of high IF, content quality of this journal is inferior. Keep away. There are many journals from European/Russian countries which are more than 60years old, which need to be re-popularised in this internet era than opting for predatory online journals.

I think there are also some predatory journals associated with these fake and fraudulent conference organizations. The academic community must take this predatory practices seriously and bring them under justice or at least spread the cautionary tips to colleagues to avoid these fake organizations altogether.

Please beware of predatory journals. No peer review is done. The person who generally approves the paper is of inferior or no education. What they need is money. Mostly these are produced from India and Pakistan. Omics is from Hyderabad, India operates from a small office..

BEWARE PULPUS/ PULPUS is FRAUD

I received an invitation to participate in one of their conferences. I accepted and paid the registration and accommodation fees last January, then I received an email that the conferences was cancelled 10 days before the scheduled date!!!

I was offered either refund or fee transfer to another conference. I asked for refund, but I didn't receive the refund for over one month although I sent several emails asking for the refund. Finally I agreed to transfer the fee to another conference which was cancelled again. I kept asking for the refund and they kept to procrastinate uptill now and stopped answering my email. Noting that I lost in addition to their overpriced fees 100$ penalties for return of flight tickets twice.

Please beware of predatory publishers.

They are fake and internet fraud institutions. They are pocketing hundreds and thousands by luring academics from all over the world. There is no real involvement of this ghost company in professional development. There are more than one group doing this predatory conferences based in London, India, and the US. They hire a local agent to invite folks for registration to collect money. If not enough people sign up, the agent disappears and you will never hear from the real management people in the company. They are basically ghosts. The victims should report to the local authorities to track down these fake and fraud companies. Otherwise, they will continue to victimize more folks.

I also received an invitation from a certain Sangeetha A. a few days ago regarding a World Congress on Mental Health. When I checked the organization behind this conference, I found out that it's by Pulsus, and a quick check on Pulsus led me to this discussion.
