I would like to find out if there is a taxonomy done on negative emotion. Specifically in dealing with consumer studies / behavior. Would appreciate if anyone could help and share any instrument / scale to measure negative emotion.
You might want to base any taxononomy on the negative valence regions of the Circumplex Model of Affect (CMA). These might approximate to, sad (negative valence, medium.low activation), distressed (negative valence, high activation), angry (negative valence, high activation, dominant), afraid (negative valence, high activation, submissive) and bored (negative valence, low activation). For further information, see:

You may also want to give a look to PANAS. That tool has a measure for positive and negative affects. Hope that can be of help to you. Following is the wiki link to PANAS and also some other tools including Measures of Negative Affect.
You may the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) useful. You can download the assessment and psychometric paper for free at the following link.
On the subject of PANAS, if you're going to use this, please use its expanded form the PANAS-X. The original PANAS met criticism for failing to incorporate descriptors for low-activation moods.

So, if I use the PANAS-X scale to measure consumer emotion. Then what would be the best personality scale to match it ? Besides the Big 5 , I have looked at TIPI & SIMP. Is there any other scale that i should consider ?
Are you measuring personality as well as negative affect (emotion)? Personality and affect are two very different things - the distinction between state and trait is an important one.
