Use a directiobal coupler at the input of your fiber laser. Couple the pumping source i.e. the diode laser at one port and at the other port you can use a bragg grating to form the laser resonator cavity. For example in case of Er-doped fiber laser we use 980 nm as pumping source and the laser is at 1550nm. In that case we use a directional coupler whos two ports are 980 and 1550 nm. Now through 980 port we couple the diode laser and at 1550 port we use a bragg grating. At the output of the fiber laser fiber air interface's 4% reflectivity is enough to form the resonator cavity. To my knowledge this is the simplest set up for fiber laser.
