Hi, I am wondering if Amazon's MTurk is easy and will be straightforward for me to use myself, having very little exposure it, or if I will need to recruit the assistance of a specialist to do some set up and/or any code programming?

If you are referring to how you set it up for use, it is quite easy for anyone who is reasonably tech-savvy. I have used it many times, as have many of my students, without the help of a Consultant. To be honest, I did not even realize there were Consultants out there serving to assist people in the use of M-Turk. I think you should give it a shot first, as it will likely be quite easy for you to do on your own.
