I like to know the removal, addition and shuffling of co-authors is against moral and ethics in Elsevier Journals. Is it necessary to contact a editor to make such changes
Offcourse You will do it, because While submitting the revised manuscript, please double check the author names provided in the submission so that authorship related changes are made in the revision stage. If your manuscript is accepted, any authorship change will involve approval from co-authors and respective editor handling the submission and this may cause a significant delay in publishing your manuscript.
Yes, some times during submission, due to some problem in system, other co-authors cannot be added, but later requesting to editor, other co-authors can be added.
Absolutely unethical and against academic autonomy of academic fraternity. Under my morality and research ethics with me, not advisable and shall create inverse performance of authors.
