I don't see any scientific reason to exclude a person with vitiligo from donating blood. Who made that decision and what's the rationale?
I see that you are attempting to treat vitiligo with platelet transfusion. Can you tell how this could work? Has anybody demonstrated (at least in vitro) that platelet stimulate melanocyte growth or inhibits autoimmune destruction of melanocytes? I know platelets contain a number of growth factors including PDGF, TGF and FDGF. But I don't know whether it contains melanocyte stimulating factor. I would be interested to know.
Our Blood Transfusion Policy does not currently consider vitiligo as an indication for either permanent or temporary deferral among our donor population.

Please provide us, if possible , there is any document / reference in the support what you and we are doing presently.
According to the World Health Organization, patients with Vitiligo may donate blood, as long as they disclose whatever medications they are on and none of them are on the banned list.
