Is it possible to conduct a 4-way mixed ANOVA (3 within subject factors and 1 between)? If so, once I've run the test what do I do then if I have significant interactions? I have seen various different methods when conducting mixed ANOVAs i.e., separating the data to look at two-way interactions at each group, contrasts, multiple paired t-tests, post-hoc test, but don't understand what is correct.

I don't use SPSS any more but General Linear model > Repeated Measures is the command ... you just add the between factors from the variable list but need to define the within factors. There's lots of guides online how to do this.
