Is 3D CRT ,IMRT with or without MLCs comparable?

In comparative study for above mentioned techniques is it possible to compare these 3 techniques ? This work will have any worth ? Kindly let me know if you can answer

3DCRT & IMRT are fundamentally different techniques, MLCs are indispensable for IMRT.
