I would like to implement my new architecture of intrusion detection with omnet ++ and NETA framework, can someone advise me some technical articles in order to evaluate and validate my approach :
Identify modules: Simple modules and parameters.
Set network topology via the NED language.
Add behaviors C ++, every single module requires a class C ++
Write code: for each simple module, write a derived class cSimpleModule
A student of mine wrote a thesis about simulation with OMNET++
You can use chapter 5 of his thesis as an introduction to work with OMNET++, if you like. The link to the thesis is here: https://homepages.fhv.at/sar/Zarkovic.pdf
go to page 27 for the Intro of OMNET; the rest of the thesis is another topic (Diameter NASREQ Application)
I just looked the Zarkovic's master thesis. Unfortunately, besides the concept of Diameter and a little bit description about it, i do not think this thesis has many help to your works. As far as I'm concerned, I suppose that the description of NETA and several source codes about it would be the best choose for you.
I agree with Peng Xu: the thesis is mainly about Diameter/ NASREQ -as I wrote in my last answer. But that is why I refered to chapter 5 of the thesis.
Here are some other sources of information. Maybe it helps (but as with the thesis: it is mainly an introduction/ overview of OMNET)
