Alloying with corrosion protection element in steel has given better protection to steel. However, lower quantity of the alloying element shows noble corrosion potential (Ecorr) and higher current density (icorr) than that of the higher fractions of the alloying element (A.E).

as per the current density; higher A.E provide better corrosion protection whereas looking at the corrosion potential it is reversed (Lower AE added steel exhibits noble ecorr). Why is it so???
