I am currently a PhD student, and as part of my program I have funding available to complete a short (~ 3 months) placement at the end of my PhD (August 2020).
I am interested in microscopy, medical imaging and analysis.
Would love to know hear some suggestions of suitable companies that would be happy to help train an enthusiastic student!

Many universities have core microscopy facilities that would be happy to have you train/intern there (especially if you have funding)! You can email the director of the center to inquire as they wouldn't normally advertise for things like that. Another option would be medical schools, hospitals, and industrial companies (specifically those that test medical equipment or supplies). These places typically have imaging facilities and would be more specialized to suit your interest in medical imaging. All of these will train you on image analysis once you understand the process!
