You might prefer MATSim or SUMO if the model is an agent-based model. If it is a discrete-event simulation model, you might use the Arena student version. Even though that is the limited version, it allows you to use an extensive number of features.

I suggest using ANYLOGIC software because you could simulate your problem as method of simulation you want (i.e system dynamics, discrete event and agent based).
