Liu (1978) first mentioned about the ε-MgAl2O4 phase. Ono et al. (2006) also verified this result in their article "The stability and compressibility of MgAl2O4 high-pressure polymorphs". But none of them mentioned anything about the space group of this phase. All they said that this is an Orthorhombic cell with a = 8.507, b = 2.740, c = 9.407A. Wondering, is there any way to index hkl without knowing the space group?? Or what is the space group of this phase?? It would be also highly appreciable, if anyone has any further idea about this phase.
