Home Minister has said that 2021 census of India to be conducted digitally. Census data is very important for socio-economic research and planning. If this is going to be done digitally, what could be more parameters they should include. I would like to discuss with the scholar here.
There are many state and central government schemes going on in our country for the development of society. If the data about beneficiaries of such schemes are included in the census it would be a great resource for the researchers as well as for the policymakers.

Connectivity related information can be provided for the entire country mainly the transport network including the air, railways and roads upto the village level. Mobility is an important dimension for any sector of social research.
I had a bad experience of Census 2011. One of the enumerator i.e., a school teacher comes to my home at Chhattisgarh and asked the questions which is not clear to me. Simply he started noted down the responses in the sheet. As i am in the same profession I take an objection and filled the data myself. The most important thing in any census or research is how we clear the respondent on the question which are asked. This is same for digital census too. Training and monitoring should be conducted randomly in every cluster and physical verification. This will provide authenticate information on India.
