As a physicist, I consider Freud's "Project for a scientific psychology" (1895) as one of the shining pearls of his whole work. The Freud's "Project" still inspires interesting research in the fields of neurology and neurosciences (see an example in the link http://www.neuro.iastate.edu/Uploads/centonzeEtAl_BrnResRev_04.pdf). Nevertheless, within the psychoanalytic field, this important part of Freud's work is often neglected. Can anyone explain why?
