I assume by better properties you mean longevity and strength of the bond?
Thermosetting adhesives are used to provide strength and stability to the bond. Thermosets are generally less sensitive to pH, temperature and other environmental factors in their ability to maintain bond strength.
As you know, thermoplastics can lose cohesiveness and bond strength with increasing temperature, which may not be desirable for permanent applications. I hope this helps.
Size of elements to be adhered is the important factor. In wood composite, the size is much smaller than solid wood, so that the difference in the permeability of the adhesives, in other words, whether the adhesive can reach the required part, may affect seriously on the property.
thank you for your replies sir,,,,,,, actually i am using coconut shell powder and other reinfocing materials like accacia gum, gaiur gum , locust bean gum to make composite and make cups by molding them,in one of my designed machine but the problem is that the composite is sticking to my die i have used the silicone sprays even then it is not working and even the problem with accacia is that the composite does not have that consistency but gaur gum had good consisteny but it too had sticking problem and due itsloafing propertie it would loaf when heated....... suggest me how to overcome this problem sir....
