my research area is image processing.

my programming field is image processing.

i am interested in doing matlab certifications.

basically i am interested in knowing how the knowledge of matlab certification can help me in building my career and having a current knowledge of all the technology occuring in my field.....

Rakesh,

Its always better to have certification in the field of interest, but what i learned from experience that though matlab is the powerful tool for image processing and analysis, it acts as a black box tool. if we want to understand the concepts we should try to write the programs in languages like 'C'. That experience will not only enhance your logical development but also conceptual development.
