To get pure acetylene black

You can dissolve calcium sulphate dihydrate (CaSO4·2H2O; gypsum) with aq. sol. of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) or of its salts. Some commercially available anti-scalants able to mitigate calcium sulphate scale, may also be effective.
