NGOs as the part of civil society always monitor and play watch dog role on all aspects of governance. They try to find out the accountability and transparency issues of government including judiciary. They bring all the issues infront of the judiciary, national and international stages to ensure the transparency and accountability. Transparency and accountability have to be considered as both sides of the coin. They help to preserve the society from corruption, violate the laws, misuse the power and resources, and irresponsibility.
Given that the (a) Judiciary has to serve the interests of the citizens of their country in terms of ensuring fairness and justice for all and (b) that NGOs articulate the concerns of citizens, then the judiciary should, as a matter of policy, remain in contact with NGOs in order to ensure that the interests of the wider society are consistently factored into its deliberations and decision-making.
