I am using Silvaco ATLAS for the simulation of solar cell. I am trying to measure the temperature developed in the lattice or in the different active area of the cell under illumination state. For this what should I do?
In order to compute the temperature of a solar cell during the simulation with Silvaco, you should have optical-thermal- electrical model.
I think Silvaco can perform optical and electrical analysis of the solar cells. You have to build also the thermal model in form of a thermal equivalent circuit that can be jointly solved by Silvaco or SPICE.
I would like to pay your attention to an RG link in where the calculation of the temperature of the module is discussed:https://www.researchgate.net/post/temperature_rise_in_unloaded_solar_cell
For completely solving the problem you can follow the method in our paper:https://www.researchgate.net/publication/232710438_MS_Farid_A_Zekry_AA_El-Shazly_and_MA_El-Koosy_Evaluation_of_optical_and_thermal_behavior_of_a_3FPT_photovoltaic_modules_Renewable_Energy_23_2001
This is not an ultimate answer, there may be colleagues who solved this problem within the scope of SILVACO.
