In Plaxis 3D, I have modelled a quai front consisting of cellular sheet pile walls as a continuous plate with interfaces. How can you find the interlock strength of such a construction? In theory the maximum interlock strength will occur at 67% of its height but this has not occurred where i try to find the results from the output.
Is the Model you are using in Plaxis the same as the one you are referring to in theory. Also pay attention to the assumptions and limitations.
As plaxis 3D is an approximate technique, it is necessary to carry out a number of preliminary checks to ensure accurate numerical analysis.
Make sure you are selecting the appropriate material model(see the assumptions and the limitations that are made for each material models).
Check also the mesh size and how the interface has an influence on boundary distance.
