I am proposing a new approach towards modeling buildings, especially R/C building for seismic resistance. This approach is based upon script writing that describe the building. The format in which this script is written is as easy as possible to an extent that any structural engineer can describe a building with it in a matter of couple of hours.

From my point of view, yes, it is practical to use scripts which describe your structure. The problem is how precisely you will provide the description of the considered structure.

The matter in fact I was wondering how much practical to use scripts in describing models of buildings for seismic analysis. Professor Mikayel Gregor Melkumyan made my day when his answer was positive on that.
Since approximately three years I was working on developing a way in describing the models using scripts and these scripts are read by Abaqus/CAE (Simulia) which supports Python (recently very popular programming language)
We (Me and my partner Dr. Mohanad Alfach) have came with this idea when we saw that Etabs have limited modeling capabilities when considering Soil-Structure-Interaction, plus any newly developed seismic resisting technique. This is very understood for Etabs is a "Special Purpose FEM software" unlike Abaqus which is a very powerful "general Purpose FEM software" that has a wide range of elements, materials, ...etc. and interactions that can be incorporated into the model but with considerable elaboration.
But creating a special scripts that can be written in certain syntax and are very understood by engineers or researchers will make the modeling process on Abaqus is as easy as it can be.
I will soon explain about this syntax and will demonstrate several models and results.
