Some quantities which are invariant in special relativity are also invariant in general relativity . For example ,the Maxwell's equations and the energy - momentum tensor of perfect fluid distribution are invariant in special relativity as well as in general relativity but,the Minkowski metric is invariant in special relativity only. In the same way,the quantities constructed with curvature tensor are invariant in general relativity. Such quantities vanises in special relativity. For example the equations expressing the divergence free nature of the Einstein's tensor. In this sense the right hand side of the Einstein's equations is invariant in general relativity but vanish in special relativity. However, the left hand side of the Einstein's equations is invariant in general relativity and also, in special relativity. This is a drwback of the general theory.
