Hello again, we are studying the demand response by industrial loads, for industrial loads, it has the following advantages:
1, power change is huge (e.g. 20~80 MW)
2, infrastructure for demand response is already installed in the industrial plant, e.g. communication, control, measurement, etc.
3, the plant operator has very strong economic incentive to provide demand response in practice
it also has the following disadvantages:
1, the scheduling of a plant could be complex
2, the power change is not fine enough (if the power system only needs 0.1 MW change).
