As we know there are two types of stress biotic stress and abiotic stresses. Of which salinity is an abiotic stress and Na:K ratio is one of the factor to overcome abiotic stress.
I feel, Only Potassium application won't be enough to solve it upto the mark. Different other approaches such as different microbes, Nanoparticles, Hormones, Polyamines application etc can also be tried. A combination of these approaches may give a better solution of this problem. Growing salt tolerant variety will also be a better option.
Yes I agreed with you sir, actually I was trying to review the parameters responsible to overcome coastal salinity. The problem is that we are claiming that salt tolerant variety is the option to overcome salinity but in fact the tolerant varieties are practically applicable for inland salinity and the chemistry and mechanism in coastal salinity of rice is different. However I am trying to collect the major factors which may reduce the coastal salinity stress.
