In the context Chemical EOR,

Is it feasible to explicitly delineate the contributions -

in the variation of IFT -

resulting from changes in temperature

and that from changes in surfactant concentration

along the interface?

In the estimation of changes in IFT

resulting from temperature gradient -

along the interface,

we require the data on the changes in the temperature

as a function of changes in the contact angle, i.e., ∂T/∂θ (which is difficult to obtain) –

in addition to –

the changes in IFT with respect to

the changes in temperature, i.e., ∂σ/∂T.

Similarly,

in the estimation of changes in IFT

resulting from surfactant-concentration gradient -

along the interface,

we require the data on

the changes in surfactant concentration as a function of

the changes in the contact angle, i.e., ∂C/∂θ (which is difficult to obtain) – in addition to –

the changes in IFT

with respect to

the changes in surfactant concentration, i.e., ∂σ/∂C.
