When we measure magnetoresistance in thin films we have to define a preferential axis for current (0°, 45° or 90°) in relation to the anisotropy axes (uniaxial and unidirectional, for example), from the 4-point method, which can we be sure about the angle of the current in the sample in relation to the anisotropy axes? Is there any experimental method to define this or any reference you know?
In a general anisotropic crystal, the resistivity[1] turns into a tensor property with up to six independent elements. About the magnetoresistance get the refs (and the cit.) of a good ref[2].
