Let say, I have a model of two parts in Abaqus, I would like to make a procedure like this:
1/ First stage: the model includes only part 1, then apply a load on it.
2/ Second stage: insert part 2 into the model, then apply another load on both part 1 and 2.

Your answer is yes, you can do this. You should copy your first model. Now you have two model. You can insert part 2 in second model then apply loading on both part after assembly. So you will have two separate model for part 1 and for part 1 and 2.

Mahsa, what i am trying to do is to investigate the effect of load after load in a fabrication procedure. If I have two models, I need to assign the output of the 1st model to the pre-defined field of the 2nd model. Do you think if I can do that while the two models are different? The difference is that the 1st model includes part 1 only, while the 2nd model includes part 1 and 2. Thanks a lot.
I'm not sure to be right exactly, but I think you can apply your first loading to part 1 and then second loading to both parts according to principle of superposition. In fact the model will include both parts from the beginning and you will have two loading that one will apply to 1st part and another to both.
