In cases of second shunt the first one is not working for a period of time causing reaccumulation of CSF inside brain tissue. So here 3 days drainage is not for diagnosis, but to remove this accumulated CSF. To do it after shunt implantation would be difficult and it can confuse fine valve adjustment process. What is your opinion?

If you agree what do you suggest for the rate of drainage? 10 ml/ hour as regular? What is the rate in children?
