In truss analysis, it is found that the total load of the structure or building is not taken by the column (vertical member) alone, as we think, a substantial load is shared by the beams (horizontal member) also. Now question is what is the proportions (or %) of sharing of the total load between the two (columns and beams) members in general and particularly for a G + 9 storied building? A civil/structural Engineer can answer this question.
