In super critical thermal power units, there is no absorption of latent heat by thermal cycle fluid in steam generator. Has this feature any contribution in improving the efficiency of super critical units/cycle?
For supercritical power plants, the temperature of steam is continuously increasing, and that would reduce the temperature difference between steam and the hot gases. The irreversibility decreases and higher efficiency is obtained.
