Importance of distance education:
-Through it, cultural programs can be presented to most segments of society.
- It works to provide educational opportunities for everyone who desires, regardless of age, gender, or living conditions.
- It fulfills the students ’desire and obtaining multiple degrees. Distance education can contribute to educating society, especially in its handling of topics that serve different segments of society.
It works on the occurrence of the desired social changes. Education is an effective means for developing social concepts and ridding them of the impurities that are attached to them.....
If one is not able to take regular mode of education, in that place distance mode is a milestone to have learning as per own suitable time and pace. It is low cost, less time consuming, can do with service or other profession. It is flexible, having printed SLM/ mass media /multimedia support. There is no distance between learner and learning. A few classes named as PCP are organized in a year to clear the doubt of learners. Assignments and feed back may be encouraged during teaching learning through postal service/electronic service.
In addition, distance Education contribute in increasing Gross Enrollment Ratio(GER).
