Allied fiber crops such as sunnhemp, ramie, mesta, sisal, flax etc. are important for various raw materials for making so many products.
Fibre crops are and will be the future raw materials not only for the textile industry, but also for eco-friendly building materials, particleboards, insulation boards, cosmetics, medicine and source for other bio-polymers, agro and chemicals.
Interest in natural fibres is also increasing lately due to new environmental legislation and concerns, resulting in a growing market for biodegradable and recyclable materials. Different bags made of fibre from fibre crop are better for environment than bags made of polythene. Fibre materials decompose in soil quickly.
Yes Mohammod Hossain sir, use of fiber bags are very eco-friendly. Recently, Government of India has decided that 100% food grains and 20% sugar will be mandatory packaged in jute bags. This decision will benefit about 4 lakh workers engaged in the jute sector along with thousands of farmers in India.
