I can truly confirm the great and positive impact of IoT on SCM. IoT is indeed a useful technology for Industrial Engineers.
IoT will support SCM in optimization, aligning to the changing demands of customers, logistics management, decision making on strategic locations of warehousing etc.
The main impact will be the intelligence that the IOT brings to the sensors and devices which would allow a series of processes and measurements that are not possible today
