Science immunology is a new journal that started 2016. It has NO IMPACT FACTOR YET.What impact factor do you expect for science immunology? Will it be close to nat immunology?

It will take at least one year (or two), until a new journal will get a IMPACT factor!
I would gues the IMPACT factor of this journal will be available in this autumn (2018).
The IMPACT factor of this journal will be between 20 and 30.

To calculate impact factor (IF), we need at least two kinds of information about this journal. This links can be useful:

However, the IF varies from one citation index to the other and you should wait for JCR data.
yes my prediction is that it will be somewhere around the nature immunology level
Why do you think so? Have you seen articles in Science Immunology comparable to that published in Nature Immunology or Nature Medicine that led you to this conclusion?
I was wondering how did you arrive at 9.5 IF for Science Immunology since it is not publicly available.
Regardles how the 2018 IF is calculated the impact factor now corresponds to 18 months and not 24 (mid 2016-2017). In addition the 2018 papers seem to be of higher quality than the previous. So the next IF will be for sure higher.

Nikolaos Tsopoulidis I totally agree with you, The first impact factor usually lower.
It will be near to JEM if we compare the data and novelty of papers, but still we need to wait for reality.
I guess first IF would be in the range of 12 and may reach Nat Immunol and Immunity level in next few years.
However, one should be careful for calculating from web of science citation data for the journal like this because of incorrect citations by the authors and missing of many citations. Therefore, IF based on calculation from web of science citation data vs actual IF vary a lot. Clarivate uses highly sensitive software to make sure that all these factors are considered in the analyses.
From the manuscript I reviewed and the management, it should be a decent journal, between JEM and NI.
Hello Guys, do you have any idea about the impact factor of JCI insight. It also started it journey at 2016. The quality of paper that accepted in JCI insight also looks good.
@ Mohammad Haque, IF is just released. It is 6.
As JCI Insight is a sister journal of JCI, impact factor may reach around 8 at one point.
Also Sci Immunol first impact factor is 10.5. Showing the signs that it will reach the other twotop immunology journals in coming years.
